About Acovi

Composite materials such as Corian® and solid surface have been a preferred material in our kitchens for many years. The completely pore-free surface is therefore perfectly suitable for bathroom products such as bathtubs, basins and countertops in the bathroom.

That is why Copenhagen Bath® specializes in composite bathroom products.
Our Acovi® composite consists of a mixture of natural minerals and binding material. The composite is model cast or glued to the final shape. This gives the material a unique durability.

Acovi® composite is 100% solid and does not contain stones. That is why our composite products can withstand cleaning agents such as descaler.

In addition, it is easy to repair unfortunate scratches and chipped pieces, which can be more difficult with composite products that are only surface-treated.

Maintenance

Minimal maintenance

Acovi® composite requires minimal care to keep clean, as the solid surface is bacteria- and dirt-repellent.

For daily maintenance, it's enough to wipe the Acovi® product with a soft cloth with warm water.

Occasionally the entire surface should be cleaned. This can be done using common cleaners.
Use the included white sponge to sand the surface in gentle circular motions until the surface is clean. The surface is then polished with a soft cloth and scouring cream in circular motions until smooth and without abrasion marks. Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.

Wipe the product with Composit Care from Copenhagen Bath. Composite Care is applied evenly with a dry clean cloth. Let the product dry for 2 minuts.

!!Do not use coarse scouring pads for daily cleaning. Strong abrasives and the green side of a scouring pad should only be used when more difficult stains need to be removed !!

Detergents:

Acovi® products can withstand most cleaning agents, including descalers and for special needs, e.g. Chlorine is also used in moderate amounts.

Personal hygiene products and cosmetics will not damage the surface. Should there be an accidental nail polish on the surface of the basin, it can be removed with a nail polish remover, without acetone - rinse with water afterwords.

Chemicals that must not be used on Acovi®:

Petroleum-based products, acetone, drain cleaners, mineral spirits, etc. These products can damage the surface. Rinse immediately with water if these chemicals should touch the product.

Limescale:

Be aware that limescale can settle and turn yellow if larger collections of water are not wiped away.

Should this occur, the limescale can be easily removed.

Use lime solution product such as household vinegar or descaler.
Let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe the product with a mild abrasive cleaner, such as liquid scouring cream.
The scouring cream is applied in circular motions until dirt and lime are dissolved and the surface feels smooth. Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.

Wipe the product with Composit Care from Copenhagen Bath. Composite Care is applied evenly with a dry clean cloth. Let the product dry for 15 min.

Treatment of scratches and damaged surface:

To treat any scratches or damaged surface on your Acovi® product, sand the area with sandpaper 240, 400 and 800 grit. Start with the lowest number (coarse) and follow with a higher number (fine) in the order mentioned. Finish with the red sponge from Copenhagen Bath, on grain 1000, for the final finish. Moisten the surface before sanding, to avoid annoying sanding dust.

When the wash is sanded, remove excess dust with a damp cloth. Then apply Composite Care from Copenhagen Bath. Composite Care is applied evenly with a dry clean cloth. Let the product dry for 15 min.

DONT:

Do not pour hot water exceeding 60 * on your Acovi® product, as this may cause heat shock and crack.
